Mixed juice - Apple + watermelon + ginger juice

Sometimes, i find eating raw fruits or vegetables daily really hard to keep up with but this could be accomplished easily with a quick glass of fruit or vegetable juice. One good way of enjoying the benefits from a wide variety of fruits or vegetables that i might not enjoy eating whole is by juicing. Taking a glass of fresh juice in the morning (on an empty stomach and alone) 1-2 hours before a meal is not only refreshing but also healthy. The nutrients will be absorbed more easily and and it doesn't have other food which would interfere with the body's cleansing. When juicing, try to keep some of the pulp. Not only does it have healthy fiber, but it can help fill you up. You may not need a juicing machine to make juice. You can use a blender as shown below for most whole fruits or vegetables to keep the fiber. if it becomes too thick add some water.

How to make natural mixed fruit juice
• Prep time:
10 mins
• Serves:       2
• Misc:          Serve chilled

• 1/4 medium pineapple
• 1 Apple
• 1/8 medium sliced watermelon
• 1/4 medium sized ginger

Step 1: Cut the pineapple, apple, watermelon and ginger into smaller pieces. Remove the seeds.

Step 2: Place in a blender, add a little water to make the blades of the blender move and blend till smooth

Step 3: Strain (remember to keep some of the pulp) and serve cold.

Kitchen Notes:::
It's important to note that vegetable or fruit juice is not a complete meal. Therefore unless you are undergoing some special fasting, weight-loss or detoxification program, it is probably unwise to use juice as a meal replacement.

• If you work out or do sporting activities regularly, it's best to consume fruits before doing so to keep your energy level up and also avoid the sensation of a full stomach.

To make sure your fruit or vegetable juice is well preserved, put your juice in a glass jar with an airtight lid and fill it up to the very top. There should be a minimum amount of air in the jar as the oxygen in air (air is about 20 percent oxygen) will "oxidize" and damage the juice.

• Immediately store it in the fridge and consume it when you are ready. It is best to drink it as soon as possible and in any case within 24 hours of juicing.

I have this issue with sieving especially Pineapple. The pulp traps in lots of liquid and I feel it's quite unhygienic forcefully hand squeezing them out.

Words can only do so much. Hugs can do much more than words, but when hugs can’t do anything, that’s where faith kicks in. For me, words and hugs were not enough, but I had no faith. So I tried to give up. At age 10, I tried to drown myself in 6 inches, or 15 centimeters of water, in my home. I told my dad I just wanted to relax, but really, I wanted to end my life. I had enough. I had enough. Ok? Click OVERCOMING HOPELESSNESS to read.

    1. No you don't have to peel the back of the apple. for the watermelon, you just have to remove as much seeds as possible. Ginger has lots of health benefits which includes improving the absorption and assimilation of essential nutrients in the body. Plus, it also gives it a nice spicy taste.
