Eat Drink Festival 2017 (What you missed)

So the Eat drink festival 2017 has come and gone but the buzz still lingers. For the JJC's (Johnny just come) Eat Drink Festival is an annual food festival organized by EatDrinkLagos and is usually held in Lagos during the festive season mostly around Christmas time.
In a single day, thousands of food lovers come together to eat and drink from an extensive selection served up by some of the best chefs, restaurants, and street food vendors in Lagos. This year, the event was held on Boxing day, the 26 of December 2017 at The Dorchester, Water Corporation Drive, VI. It brought together a lot of people from far and near, mostly those who just got back (The IJGBs), the food vendors and entrepreneurs, Chefs and a host of others.

The Maggi Kitchen Battle
Apart from the chow section there was also the battle arena where top chefs and top food bloggers went head to head to see who reigns supreme in the kitchen. The battle stage featured chefs like Chef Imoteda, Chef Benedict & Chef Jeff. The battle stage also featured bloggers like Ozoz Sokoh (KitchenButterfly), Zoey Blaq (Chefzoeyblaq) and yours truly (Dobbyssignature)

For the first Battle, the participants were asked to prepare a rice dish of their choice using several ingredients provided. At the end of the battle , chef zoey reigned supreme after her dish wowed the taste buds of the judges while chef jeff lost gracefully 😊.

For the second Battle, the participants were asked to prepare a porridge dish of their choice using several ingredients provided. At the end of the battle , Kitchen Butterfly came out tops after her dish wowed the taste buds of the judges while chef Benedict gracefully accepted defeat 😖.

For the final round, the participants were asked to prepare an dish of their choice using several ingredients provided. At the end of the battle , chef Imoteda came tops as the undisputed champion. I still believe i should have won though...i mean, who doesn't like grandma style egusi 😌

Without further ado, here are more picture highlights from the event.
