Banga Soup with Cat Fish (Niger-Delta Palm Fruit Soup)

Cat-Fish Banga soup is simply love in a bowl. This is a dish i simply cant get enough of. When paired with starch and served in the traditional local clay bowl known as evwere, total bliss.
I am also a huge fan of catfish especially in banga soup. If i had to choose between  banga soup with meat  or banga soup with fish, i'd go for the latter and here's why...it's easier to pinch through the whole fish while "swallowing" lumps of starch. Also, the flavors from the fish mixed with banga juice cannot be ignored. Banga soup is a tasty soup made from the juicy pulp of the palm fruit not palm oil. It's usually prepared with special spices and can be made with  meat or fish.
